Samenvatting

According to a study in California oriental children are much less frequently injured than caucasian or negro children. The present research is an attempt to establish a "sociology of accidents". It is conceptualized in relation to the normative system and social integration. Social integration refers here specifically to family solidarity against the forces from outside the family such as from children's peer sub-culture.
