Samenvatting
The report attempts to assess the increase the use of seat belts and child safety seats. Data from accidents involving children who were using a seat belt cushion are included for the first time. These accidents are covered fully in a separate chapter. A report is also given on the number of accidents in which children were sitting in a child safety seat or were using a seat belt cushion. The purpose of this section of the report is to further- emphasize how important it is that children should be restrained by some type of safety equipment when travelling in a car.
