Requests from concerned parents for information to help them understand the necessary safety considerations for children in automobiles led to a series of articles in the bi-monthly publication of the Consumer's Association of Canada and to the formation of the Children's Automobile Safety Committee. Part 1 discusses the aims of the Committee. Part 2 deals with the history and present state of safety research of restraint systems in the U.S. Part 3 discusses the existing U.S. standards and test methods for child restraint. The final article describes the car seats available on the Canadian market.
