Samenvatting
The introduction of British Standard Time in 1968 was the occasion for extra effort to encourage children to wear conspicuous clothing. The opportunity was taken to study factors such as latitude, social class, age of child, etc., which were thought to influence the wearing of aids to conspicuity. Children who used items to make themselves more easily seen were in the minority although most schools had given advice on the subject and as might be expected children travelling by car were less likely to use such items than those who walked to school.
