Samenvatting

Cognitive processes in judgements of drunkenness relative to legally allowable blood alcohol levels for driving are explored. Personality and behavioural characteristics influencing the accuracy of judgements of drunkenness relative to true blood alcohol levels are examined. Results indicate the presence of several misperceptions and inappropriate response tendencies that potentially can be modified with educational efforts.
