There is not much (scientific) research knowledge about the functioning of the new generation of collective demand-responsive personal transport systems ands about how these kinds of transport systems are used by travellers. However, people do have a lot of opinions and prejudices about the systems mentioned. This paper discusses two of these opinions/prejudices: (1) Collective demand-responsive transport systems are mainly used by older (disabled) women; and (2) collective demand-responsive transport systems do not offer anything more than traditional public transport, only something different.
