Samenvatting
A study was carried out on the symbol coding of the meaning of priority signs, and the question to be answered was whether there were consistent differences between the efficiency of colour coding of meaning and form coding of the same meaning. In addition the question was raised whether a composite code would be more or less efficient than a single code.
