The organization and goals of the conference are described. The conference has 5 panels: 1) economic factors affecting the location of freight terminals and the collection and distribution of goods; 2) the need of urban society in relation to the means, history, and policy of urban goods movement; 3) physical structure and population skiffs in urban areas; 4) application of technology to efficient goods movement; 5) framework for analysis and forecasting.
