This paper highlights the importance of comparative assessment for the pan-Europeanisation of systems tested in the DRIVE II-ATT Programme. It also presents contribution of guidelines on evaluation methods, provides details of the Guidelines on Assessment of ATT pilots in the Inter-Urban Traffic Management and Information Area. The potential for comparative assessment in this application area is discussed. Potential collaborative studies are recommended.
