Samenvatting

This paper presents a discussion of different approaches to examine man machine interfaces and their effects on driver behaviour and traffic safety. The conclusions are drawn based on results of questionnaires, vehicle dynamics, traffic situations, analysis of eye movement and user dialogue input data. To achieve the results the tests were carried out with 45 subjects. Based on experiments with dual task situations the differences in internal and external validity of simulator experiments and field tests are discussed. (A)
