Samenvatting

The aim of this investigation was to show how complex a simulation model must at least be in order to solve a given question of steering behaviour. Therefore four computing models of different complexity were set up. The two-wheel model gives qualitative results only, but an improved four-wheel model with four degrees of freedom and good approximations of the nonlinear characteristics of tires, springs, steering, steering compliances and damping.
