Samenvatting

Results of 13 tests simulating a frontal impact against a fixed barrier at 50 km/h are described. The results showed a marked increase in the severity of injuries with increasing age and more frequent chest injuries than head and spinal injuries. Tests were made with two types of restraint systems, both of which seemed equal in occupant protection.
