The time taken to complete a standardised shopping trip was studied. The trips were made on foot and began and ended at a car park. The trips were made on foot and began and ended at a car park. The number of busy roads crossed per trip was noted, the delay incurred was estimated, and the frequency of pedestrian accidents in each area during a three-year period was obtained.
