Highway simulation is an important help in highway design. By visualizing the highway design the designer gets an idea how the highway fits in the landscape and how the alignment is. Both are important for traffic safety. The use of the computer has many advantages in such simulations. Future developments in these visualizing programs will increase the use of these simulations in highway design and road construction.
