Samenvatting
In response to the request from many urban transportation studies for 1970- census place-of-work data, the FHWA submitted tabulation specifications to the Bureau of Census for the compilation of both socioeconomic and journey-to-work data from the 15% and 22% sample data for traffic zones in standard metropolitan statistical areas. The standardized tabulations contained in this 1970-census Urban Transportation Planning Package (UTPP) were designed to provide a common data base for transportation studies in the country and reduce processing costs for such tabulations.
