Samenvatting
This paper describes the development of traffic crossing the Noordzeekanaal en IJ, based on data obtained bij traffic counts. Besides providing some general information on canal-crossing traffic, this paper is meant to be on illustration of the usefulness of counts on screenlines. Special attention is paid to the results of opening new subways to the traffic. With the analysis of the traffic development in the evening rush hour the influence of traffic congestion is particularly emphasized.
