Samenvatting
The Federal Highway Administration requested material on the States’ experience with concrete median barriers and barrier rails. Material submitted is summarized in this report. The concrete median barrier is being in lieu of other type barriers to reduce the maintenance problems of high cost of repair, safety of maintenance crews and disruption of traffic during maintenance operations. Several suggestions for the use of these barriers are made.
