The Committees on Characteristics of Bituminous Materials and on Characteristics of Bituminous Paving Mixtures To Meet Structural Requirements cosponsored an all-day conference on SHRP Asphalt Research in Washington, D.C., on January 10, 1993. The conference disseminated up-to-date Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) findings on the relation between asphalt chemical and psychical properties and performance and on laboratory conditioning for moisture sensitivity and aging and durability of pavements. This Record contains five papers that were presented at the conference and were subsequently accepted for publication.
