Samenvatting

In this study, a sample of older drivers (age 50 plus) were assessed in terms of confidence in a range of driving situations, self-rating of driving ability, self-reported driving behaviour and personality as measured by Eysenck's EPQ. Female and male drivers were compared on Extroversion, Neuroticism and Lie scales as well as the Psychoticism scale. Personality did not mediate the relationship between driving confidence and self-rated driving ability.
