Samenvatting
This study is an application of the traffic conflicts technique, using observed driver responses to geometric design and traffic control of a high volume, unsafe intersection in Vancouver, Canada. Traffic conflict severity of associated manoeuvres was measured by a composite time to collision /risk of collision scale value. The accident record was used to link accidents and severe conflicts in time and place.
