Contributory factors in road accidents identified from a sample of Garda Siochana accident report forms.

This report considers one element in the accident prevention system, namely, the classification of traffic accidents in such a was as to allow estimates to be made of the scope and potential effectiveness of various countermeasures. The usefulness of the ensuring classifications for accident countermeasure work is assessed.
