An investigation has been conducted of front tyre failure on heavy trucks, including the magnitude of the front tyre problem, baseline tyre failure tests, and tests with devices which are designed to minimize the front tyre problem. A cost-effective analysis and a ranking of the devices tested summarize the findings of the program.
