Samenvatting
The Accident Research Units at the Institute for Consumer Ergonomics, and the Birmingham University are investigating the causes of injury to car occupants in accidents. The teams have established an extensive crashed vehicle examination and recording procedure which includes all aspects of the vehicle which influence occupant injury. All these data are brought together to form a completed case in which the accident circumstances and the main features are summarised, damage to vehicle (s) and occupants involved are recorded and the likely causes of injury are deduced.
