The aim of this thesis is to contribute empirically and theoretically to the actiology of crime by testing a general causal theory. Today's criminology is risk in theories of crime which can be reduced to a number of denominators. Three of these important and rival approaches are discussed in this study: the strain, control and cultural deviance perspectives.
