Samenvatting

It is stated not rely on the results of a benefit-cost analysis for accepting or rejecting a safety measure. However, the information developed in a carefully conducted analysis can provide valuable insights to a decision motor. Decision analysis appears to be a more promising tool for the selection of traffic safety measures than the conventional benefit-cost analysis.
