Samenvatting

A report based on a sample of 878 radar detector users and 930 drivers in the general public was prepared. It concludes that "radar detection users are at least as safe drivers as nonusers, as measured by the miles driven per accident experienced". A critical analysis of the report reveals that the radar detector user sample is unlikely to represent all users due to the manner in which it was obtained.
