Current research relating to relocation of families and business. Paper presented at the Conference “Relocation : social and economic aspects” held October 1-3, 1969.

A brief history is presented of the research conducted regarding displacement and relocation of people and business resulting from public works programs. Particular not was made of highway improvement effects on people in adjacent neighbourhoods and on people displaced when rights-of-way are cleared.
