In this book social systems are seen as a network of interacting persons or groups. Such persons or groups are usually represented by either stimulus-response or normative models. The author proposes a method for extending these models for a more detailed structure, and the treatment of the subject matter is entirely non-mathematical since the author feels that mathematical language frequently act as a barrier to proper understanding.
