Samenvatting
The acute posttraumatic subdural hydroma simulates the symptoms of an epidural or subdural hematoma. The diagnosis results from the clinical symptoms or in the acute state from angiography. However, in most cases the definite diagnosis is made by trepanation. This is also the only possible therapy. The overall prognosis is good; it is determined by the concomitant brain contusion.
