Samenvatting
Whiplash injury is increasing by the bigger traffic concentration and thereby more accidents. In particular rear- end collisions. But whiplash injury occur also in sport. Definitions of whiplash and it mechanics are discussed. The injury of the neck and spinal column, other bones and parts of the body are described. Recommendations for diagnostics and medical treatment are mentioned briefly.
