Drivers'overtaking behaviour was examined in two experiments. While the first experiment examined behaviour in a normal situation, the second introduced two influencing factors (1) by means of a digital simulated auxiliary display, the person under experiment was given additional information about whether or not it was safe to overtake at that moment, and (2) the width of the test section of road was increased at one point to an extra- wide two- lane section.
