This abstract describes the weighting procedure in the DATELINE project on long-distance passenger travel, which aims to remove bias with regard tothe frequency of travel, the distance travelled and the length of the journey. A survey was conducted of socio-demographic parameters and travelling behaviour in different countries. In the second phase, a subsample of journeys undertaken in the first phase was studied. The weighting process was developed to take the weight of the data taken from the survey accordingto each country. Four weighting levels were included: the household level, person level, journey level, and trip level. For the covering entry of this conference please see ITRD E132365
