Samenvatting
With the development of a management system, it should be possible in the future for decisions about road maintenance to be made increasingly on the basis of rational judgements and economic principles. In this respect it is particularly important that the necessary data should be available. Taking the example of a management system currently under development, a summary of data requirements and of some of the points which must be considered when setting up data banks, is given.
