Samenvatting
This chapter elaborates respectively on the theory on the function of streets, the implications of the function of the street for its layout, the effect of a number of environmental properties (such as speed, traffic concentration, traffic flow) as well as highway design on the perception of traffic safety. The chapters discusses the effect of the layout of the living environment on the perception of the lack of traffic safety.
