An important aspect of quality in the competition ratio between the car and public transport is the journey time ratio, expressed in the time factor in mobility (VF-value). This paper presents results of a secondary analysis of data from the Dordrecht-Rotterdam Congestion Corridor study. This investigates which VF-value arises here, and the difference between the VF-value for car transport and that for transport by train. The results of this empirical study correlate with the results of analyses carried out using the National Model System.
