Samenvatting
The bustaxi is a demand actuated public transportation system, using a small computer for system control. An algorithm allots the demands for transportation in a way that total discomfort is minimized. Limitation of waiting time and detour time for the individual customer is not as usual achieved by the use of fixed upper limits (hard constraints), but by the introduction of soft constraints, based on a disutility function (cost function), non-linear depending on waiting time, detour time and if desired also on other parameters.
