Samenvatting
Considering the magnitute of the governmental expenditure for public transport it is usefull to study the function of the public transport and to look at the proceeds of these expenditures. The function can be studied very well from the results of the study during the strike of public transport in 1981. There was no alternative for 17% of the public transport passengers. The aim of improving public transport should not decrease by high operating costs.
