Samenvatting
The paper discusses the complaints of many cyclists and moped riders who feel placed at a disadvantage in relation to traffic provisions, and in particular to the adjustment of traffic signals. To clarify the position of the cyclist and the moped rider their interests are shown. Thereafter the problems in which cyclists and moped riders in traffic control systems are involved, are discussed. Attention is given to the safety aspect, focused on the layout bicycle provisions and the kind of traffic control at junctions with traffic signals. Recommendations are presented regarding the service level in the treatment of cyclists and moped riders in traffic control systems.
