Samenvatting

The Dutch province of Utrecht has asphalted the highway S13 with porous asphalt (ZOAB). As a difference in height between the asphalting and the shoulder is necessary for the drainage of the ZOAB, the province has commissioned the SWOV Institute for Road Safety Research to perform a study into the influence of differences of heights on traffic safety. The VEDYAC (VEhicle DYnamics And Crash dynamics) computer program was used.
