Samenvatting
The SWOV made an inquiry into the possible influence of the introduction of summer time on the traffic insafeness. If we take some factors into account and consider analytically the recent accident rates which occurred during the hours in which the light conditions change due to the introduction of the summer time we see that the anticipated influence will be marginal with respect to an annual increase in the accident rate of 9% with a fluctuation on this trend to about 3%.
