Samenvatting
In the framework of the SWOV-research: "kencijfers voor de verkeersveiligheid van wegen "an inventory is made of the characteristics of the road, traffic and accidents of the main road network. The sequence of it is an inventory of secondary and tertiary roads outside built-up areas. As this would cost too much, a method was developed to make a sample of those regions and road network that were representative as regards size, dispersion etc. The method used and the criteria for such a sample are presented and discussed.
