Samenvatting
A description is given of research results concerning the development of cost of car use and public transport use during the last 30 years. The research has been undertaken due to the present concern about the high mobility rate and the future mobility development. From the research results it cannot be stated how far other causes then the increasing wealth (for example the relative prices) have contributed to the mobility growth. The cost of car use and the cost of public transport use have remained about the same during the above period.
