Recommendations for the introduction of a new kind of lightweight moped with a maximum speed limit of 25 km/h with normal diameter wheels, no mandatory crash helmet and a minimum of age of 15 years for the driver are proposed. Possible consequences on the traffic safety of such a moped are discussed in relationship with the modifications of the "snorfiets".
