Samenvatting
In this article the possibilities for para-transit within the transport system are analysed. A distinction is made between the situation in third world countries and in the more developed western countries. An overview is given of the various para-transit systems. The situation in Jamaica is discussed as an example of para-transit in third world countries. Next month's issue will deal with the role of para transit in supplementing conventional public transport.
