Samenvatting
Recently, recommendations on re-regulating the market for train services have been given by a committee chaired by H.J.A. Wijffels. This study investigates the theoretical backgrounds of regulating a railway company. The study also compares the existing regulation to the proposed new regulation. Brief descriptions are also given of similar deregulations in the United Kingdom bus market, and in the United States airline market. (A)
