Samenvatting
In 1985 and 1986 several parts of the main roads system around The Hague and suburbs were opened to the traffic. The main artery between the centre of the city and the central and eastern parts of the country reached its designed capacity after ten years of construction. Traffic numbers rose some 28% overnight. New problems will arise when further extension of the traffic system will not keep pace with new urban developments.
