Samenvatting
In the current Dutch procedure for the application of a new driving licence for drivers over 70, the vulnerability of these drivers is not taken into consideration. Instead of a global medical examination once in the 5 year on extensive medical examination should be carried out once in the 2 years, with special emphasis on the vision and the field of vision. Alternatives could be a limited driving licence (only small distance, daylight, speed).
