Samenvatting
The volume and pattern of traffic- congestion is for a large part caused by commuting car- mobility. An important policy- topic is to reduce this type of mobility in the interest of the environment and the economy. The relation between the position on the labour market, for several household types, and the home- to- work distance was studied. The results show that this relationship should be taken into account in planning new work and residence locations.
