The central issue of a Park and Ride (P+R)-lease card is that not only fuel (traditional card), but also the use of public transport and parking fees can be paid with the P+R-lease card and that the employer collects the bills. The purpose of this article is to present the background and organisation of an experiment with the so-called "P+R-lease card", which was held in Rotterdam during the period of April-October 1992. The article has therefore the following structure. Paragraph 1 gives the background of and governmental policy concerning the P+R-lease card. Paragraph 2 gives an in-depth view of the organisation of the experiment. Paragraph 3 gives a preview of the results.
