Not much is known about the impacts of infrastructure on the economy, especially concerning the long term effect. In this contribution a review is given of studies in this field. A distinction is made between the effect of infrastructure on productivity of firms, and the effect on investments and employment. In this contribution both model based studies, and studies making use of direct interviews of entrepreneurs are covered.
